Great device, allows for IR control of Insteon

What's great about it: Allows control and automating devices with no monthly fee.
I am using this device to turn lights off and on based on sunrise / sunset.
I love that there is no monthly fee for this.
I also am controlling my Insteon devices with my Harmony remote via IR.
I also use this device to have a txt message sent to me based on certain events (lights turning on, etc.)
Works great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Flexibility, price vs. functionality, quality, powerful
What's not so great: true x10 device management will cost another $50
I started automating the house over 10 years ago with x10 and have switched to Insteon over the past few years to increase reliability. Having used other controllers, it's been painful and disappointing. After researching many brands/ products and selecting this one to replace a competitor's product that died, I am astounded at how rock solid it performs, how easy it was to setup, how much functionality it has and how responsive their support forum is. Wish I bought it years ago!
Ok Cons... just to be completely fair. The user interface is not very sexy but as I stated everything works well. Access from the web, Blackberry all works. If you still have x10 receivers to control; this unit supports x10 by allowing you to write programs to turn on/off x10 devices. However you can't just click on an x10 device to turn on/off with out purchasing an additional module for the ISY for $50. Other than that the product is excellent!
Oh... BestBuy rocks! Received the ISY in less than 1 day !!!!

What's great about it: Powerful, functional.
Can't say enough about this device. I've been using an ISY-99 for a few years now to control my home lighting, and it works flawlessly. Control my lights from the web, from my phone, set schedules, scenes, etc. - this device is a must for anyone looking to use INSTEON lighting in their home! Makes setup and management a breeze.
I would recommend this to a friend!
