more than ample freezer storage for a larger family, shelves in doors are very handy, it packs a lot into a fairly compact footprint

Very roomy and well lit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this upright to replace my (still working) chest freezer because I could never find anything in the chest freezer. Now, everything is organized on shelves and right at my fingertips. The interior is well lit. It's located in my garage, and I haven't been through a Southern summer with it out there yet, so we'll see how it holds up through the heat, but so far, so good. I only wish it came with the ability to relocate shelves up and down and had one additional shelf.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this freezer to replace a smaller freezer. This freezer is exactly as advertised. Perfect size, freezes quickly, easy to see everything inside. I live alone but like to cook. Being able to freeze individual portions is important to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So glad we got it a few months ago. Thankful we have plenty of room now to keep stock of fresh shrimp and fish. And it saves us on our grocery bill because we are able to stock up when products go on sale. We have not noticed any significant increase in our electricity. As a matter of fact I would love to have more than one.

Practical tips

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1) It is normal for the door to be hard to open after you have just closed it. Extra suction is triggered by the freezer in order to tighten the door seal. You need to wait a minute before you try to open the door again. 2) There is no drain pan to empty on the frost-free models. The drain pan is built-in, and water collected there will evaporate on its own. 3) If the floor may be uneven where you want to install the freezer, have handy for your installer two 2x4 boards cut as long as your freezer is deep and a shim or two for leveling. Boards also make it easier to clean under the freezer and provide some protection against possible basement flooding. 4) To clean under the freezer (or other appliances), try this trick: wrap a yardstick with one or two paper towels held on by rubber bands. Dampen the towels with your hands. Swish the wrapped yardstick under the freezer.
