I bought this twenty days ago & it quit working. The last one was used before I got it & it lasted over 35 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great value, great appliance!

Average freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this after our last freezer failed before it was 5 years old. We bought this because it was "not" frost free. We prefer to defrost the freezer once a year ourselves than to have our meats,vegetables defrosted often by the freezer. Our frozen foods do not last as long when that happens.
The one thing that would make it more than average is two baskets for small packages on the shelves. We went out and bought baskets to put in the freezer so we didn't have such a mess of foods where we wouldn't be able to find things. We package things like pork chops, steaks, hamburg, in sizes that we usually use for dinner. We then put like foods together in one basket i.e. pork in one, frozen veges in another, or hamburgers or hamburg packages for meatloaf or stuffed peppers in another. Add baskets that pull out and you'll have a superior freezer.

Hola John and Den! I can understand how important it is to be able to find things in your freezer without having to take everything out. Although it did not come with the baskets for the shelves. It does have another great feature, such as the arcticlock thicker walls, that keeps food frozen for over 2 days if there is a power outage. Good Freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The upright works great. No frost build up so far. Have had it for about a month and have frozen everything from steaks, salmon, soup, beans, and bread in it. No freezer burns or meat drying out as of yet.
