Nice looking unit but needs improvement in design

This unit was a couple hundred dollars more than the white exterior models. I was very disappointed thought that this unit has only three door shelves when there is more than enough room for a fourth, wasted space. Temperature control is too low and was hard to find where it was. There is no temperature alarm standard which should be included with a thousand dollar unit. On a positive note, the exterior slate color is very nice looking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

excellent freezer

I bought this freezer right before new years day after I saw the one my son purchased, and it has been great. Being frost free and having sliding baskets as well as LED lighting really make it a pleasure to own. It also has a very nice "dark steel" finish that is so much nicer than basic white. Very happy with the purchase price too. Fridgidaire has always made a great product.

Best Freeze Ever!

I bought this freezer the day after Thanksgiving, in hopes of finding a deal, as I was replacing a very high end, expensive freezer that I lost in a divorce. So you can imagine, not only my demeanor, but my expectations at this point. I ran across this freezer on accident and purchased it sight unseen from catalog. I wanted to get something better than I had before of course, different and something that was going to fit into my new lifestyle.
When it arrived I was absolutely thrilled, it is gorgeous. The color is perfect, it was very different and it stands out, and matches my new set up in my garage. It was larger and deeper than expected, very quiet, and best of all it was light years better than the one I had before.
I would recommend this to a friend!
