Hello James. Sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with your HP 951XL High Yield Magenta Ink Cartridge. If you suspect you have received a non-original cartridge, please contact the seller. To resolve the issue, you can try cleaning the electrical contacts as shown in Step 3 http://hp.care/2qsfLG1 if this doesn’t resolve the issue please contact HP Support for a replacement http://hp.care/2nbNQFi Note that you will need to provide the Warranty Ends date of the cartridge. You can find the warranty end date on the cartridge itself.
Great cartridges that are super easy to install. If you print very much the XL cartridges are definitely the way to go. You get so many more copies out of them than the regular cartridges.
If you're looking for an inkjet cartridge for your Officejet 8100 Pro printer, and you're looking for a color that's precisely between red and blue, with no wiggle room either way, then THIS is the cartridge for you.

Hi,
I'm sorry that you're having troubles, but very concerned about the error message!
If the printhead is not fitting into your printer properly, there most probably would be leaks and the printer would not work.
If the printhead is removable (it has a lever on the side) you need to make sure it is firmly in place and that the lever is pushed all the way down. If there is no lever, the printer itself needs to be serviced to work properly.
