My daughter got me this one and it is fantastic. i would highly recommend it, as it is loaded with channels, documentaries, freebies, etc. i do plan to buy more for all of our tv's here at home.
Pros: Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Attractive Design

Definitely as advertised. Love that you can stream HBO Go. Easy interface. Love that you don't have to turn it off and on, it's perpetually on but hibernating.

I love love love my Roku. It is so easy to use and there are so many movies and shows that I can watch absolutely free. It was super easy to set up and there is even an app that I put on my iphone that allows me to use my phone as a remote control. I'm going to get one for the other TV in my house. I have recommended it to everyone I know. This is an amazing device.

I purchased the basic Roku so that I could discontinue my cable TV - an effort to lower monthly bills. I am very pleased overall. I have experienced some cutting out and then restarting with some channels. I don't know if this is because I am using the computer at the same time. I will definitely recommend this to my children and friends. It allows me access to many channels and saves money at the same time.

This is our second device and I'm very pleased with it. Not only does it work on my hd tv but it will plug into my older type TV which is in the spare room. We can't get OTA tv - so we subscribe to bare bones cable ($20/mo) plus Netflix and Amazon bringing our total tv cost to $36/mo!

I've had my share of bum experiences with tech gear, and generally have low expectations. The LG Blu-Ray media streamer I returned met those expectations. So I was happy as a clam when the Roku LT met and exceeded all the excellent reviews I had read. Simple setup-- just wait for the black screen to finish; it's simply booting, not broken -- and it just works, and works right now, unlike the LG which was snail-like in performance when it worked at all. Roku has lots of free channels, and is just an amazing value.
