Easy to use, everything I need

My daughter bought me a Roku for Xmas and it offers me the channels and programmes that I have an interest in. I have actually cancelled my tv package because I don't need it and this has made me realise that we pay of a lot of stuff that we don't watch.

Have owned the Roku LT for several years now & it continues to astound me. So much to offer in such a tiny package & this particular model is so very inexpensive. Am moving up to the Roku 3 now after just purchasing my 1st HD TV & looking forward to using this latest model very much.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

I cut off cable and use this for my sole video feed. I love the variety of channels. I do not like it when I select a channel and then it's a pay channel. You can't tell until you select them. I also do not like the NBC news channel - while I like NBC News generally - they need to stop giving the uploading of videos to their interns. NBC freezes my box at least once a week. Someone over there needs to gest training. The other thing is the audio levels vary a lot on some channels like Wall Street Journal. Their commercials blow my upstairs neighbor out of bed in the morning. Again, enough with the pimply interns huh?
Pros: Easy to use, Easy to set up, Compact, Video selection, Built in Wi-Fi, Few Commercials, Affordable, No Comcast, No cable, High quality picture, Great value
Cons: Inconsistent Video Volume, Nbc

I've had my roku box almost a year now and I barely watch cable TV anymore, each time my television is on its because I'm using my Roku LT. I love it! The only thing that bugs me and it doesn't happen often is when I'm scrolling, sometimes the reaction time is slowed. Not sure if its an Internet problem or I'm just moving too fast. Bottom line is I'll buy this product again if I had too and will recommend it to anyone. Its simple yet very effective for your movie and tv watching needs.

Customer support informed that Roku was acquired by dish - and removed Indian channels & other channels which will be of interest to customers - hope anyone can understand why this change. Already people started to look for alternative products.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls

I have an older tv in my bedroom and wanted something to stream Netflix and such. So far this little gadget is perfect! Super fast setup and I was watching my favs in less than 15 minutes. So far so good!
