Samsung Should Stick to TV's

Being a Samsung TV buyer I figured I couldn't go wrong with buying their appliances too. I made an expensive mistake and purchased all Samsung appliances for my kitchen and laundry room. Just the refrigerator alone has many issues. The crushed ice is not really crushed, the cubed ice comes out with crushed pieces and sometimes comes out all crushed, the dispenser is also extremely loud and sometimes I have to take the ice container off the door to get it to stop making grinding noises after getting ice from the door, the lighting inside is poor, the pockets on the freezer door are big enough to hold a frozen burrito and not much more, the layout is just very restrictive on what you can get in the thing. I can ALWAYS see the fingerprints on the black stainless and the water drips from the water dispenser and sits in the little shelf or dribbles down the door. Sure it looks nice but that's about it!
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought a GE expensive stainless steel refrigerator five years ago and from the very beginning is started to give me problems. I was very disappointed with this product and finally got fed up with it when it stopped cooling. I have had enough. I decided to go buy another refrigerator and when I saw the Samsung refrigerator I just fell in love, the quality, overall look just sold me. I've owned my double door stainless steel refrigerator since November and I can not be happier, but the best thing about it was the price that I was able to get it. The reviews that I read were great and were 4-5 stars. I recommend this product to everyone.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, compact
I would recommend this to a friend!

It works and all but...

it works and all but sometimes it makes my ice cream squishy and the lack of consistency is disturbing. I just want to eat my ice cream.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, doesn't properly freeze ice cream sometimes

Very good product

My wife and I purchased this product after reviewing refrigerators using Consumer's Report. It is a very good refrigerator and I only have one minor complaint so far. I especially like the light inside the unit as it uses LEDs which gives a brighter light.
I rated the design as a 4 instead of a 5 because the one minor con to this refrigerator is that the display panel is not backlit to show the touch buttons when it's used in a darkened room. That is, at night when I go into my kitchen to get a glass of water (with ice) I do not turn on the overhead light. I have a light on over the stove which provides light. But in looking at the display panel all you see are the ice and water icons lit. Which means I have to bend over to see where the touch buttons are located on the display panel. It would have been so much easier to put a small LED behind the buttons so you could see the display regardless of the room lighting.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: no backlit display.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We grew tired of other brands with freezer hogging non reliable ice makers and inconsistent temp control. The Samsung with the in door ice maker opens up the freezer space dramatically. This model also holds temps rock steady. Pleased with our purchase.

What a disappointment

Just about 2 yrs after purchase the fridge side has stopped cooling. Error code 22C. From day one the fridge made weird loud vibrating / humming noises. A new fridge should last more than 2 yrs.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality

Freezer Died on Me less than 3 Years Old!

The freezer suddenly died on me and the appliance is less than 3 years old. I am very disappointed as I thought Samsung made quality products. And the manufacturer warranty is only for 2 years.
