Not my first choice

we inherited this fridge from the previous homeowners, along with a suite of samsung appliances. literally each of these appliances has failed. the dishwasher is losing pieces daily. the oven randomly shuts off. the microwave light button broke and now the entire unit is useless. and this fridge...
the real issues - the seals on the doors are weak. because of this, the door doesn't always shut all the way and the freezer ices over. but wait! that's not all! if you want to put a normal amount of food in this freezer you're out of luck. this too the freezer crusts over in a thick film of heavy, crusty frost. and, sidebar, what's up with the weird shelf height? don't buy this fridge unless you plan to live alone. it's s tiny and more uncooperative than a toddler at bedtime.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Missing part

freezer light does not come on because the part is missing that detects if the door is opened. ice maker didn't work either. refrigerator works great, like the quiet motor.

It's a lemon

We bought this 4 years ago and we have had several service calls on it with one current one being declared that it is not fixable. The service providers for Samsung have not been very helpful in getting the issue resolved and we have been without a fridge for going on the 3rd week now.

Good until it just stops

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the fridge was honestly fine for a while, slight issue with the ice maker but was fixed in the first year. then the fridge will not cool below 60 degrees, regardless of troubleshooting. i have a fridge from 1988 that is still very cold, and my barely used samsung died just after a few years.

Wonderful new fridge!

this is the first new refrigerator i've had in years, and i am so pleased! it is huge inside, with more space than i really need. i love the in-door ice maker because it gives me so much space in the freezer. the drawers are large and easy to access in both the fridge and freezer. i wish they could be moved up higher, but that's not a deal-breaker. the led lighting took a bit of getting used to because it is so bright. if i really like to see what's inside, i have to move things away from in front of the lights. it is very quiet and cools everything very quickly. so far, no problems with freezer burn or foods not staying fresh. the only negative is the fingerprint issue on the door, but everyone knows about stainless and fingerprints. i'm happy!

Very POOR product

i have a samsung side by side refrigerator. the freezer and refrigerator drawers and freezer shelves continually fall off the tracks. because it is a shade over a year old samsung suggests i purchased new drawers and shelves to see if that helps. this with out knowing if it is the drawers or the refrigerator interior that is at fault. i have 4 samsung appliances and two large screen televisions a phone a computer and a tablet but i will ever own another thing from this company. i wish i could do less than one star.

Completely disappointed!

we have purchased 3 samsung tvs and have been completely impressed with the quality of the tv. we decided to be brand loyal and purchase this expensive fridge. within a few months, the icemaker stopped working. the repair person said that it is not worth repairing because samsung appliances are garbage. (his words) he makes a living fixing samsung. he said don't bother to fix the icemaker because the motherboard will fail soon and then the fridge will be a complete loss. will never buy a samsung appliance again, so dissapointed! i am always so brand loyal!
