One problem with this dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this dishwasher from in December. The store that we purchased it from did this model working on the floor. The dishwasher is great except that the control panel does not light making the cycle buttons virtually impossible to see in any lighting conditions. I believe LG should offer or provide a lighting kit so consumers actually can see the cycle function button without referring to the manual. Without the needed lighting I can not recommend this product to a friend. I also can not say it's easy to use or that the features are excellent !
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overthought with poor results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first glance, it looks highly functional but, most of the overthought design features make loading and functionality a nightmare. Probably the worse appliance purchase we've ever made. And it doesn't dry well either. It does run very quietly the whole 2 hours and 19 minutes the normal cycle takes.

Everything about this dishwasher is great. High quality, great racks, small rack on top is great (our previous dishwasher it was on the bottom, which was very inconvenient. Does great job of cleaning and sanitizing the dishes. It is so quiet we can't tell it is running, except the signal lights let us know it is. Friends have told us they have never experienced such a quiet dishwasher.
Pros: Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best We've Ever Had

Super quiet even when you are standing next to it, which I like better than actual clean dishes, simply because we've always had the loudest dang dishwashers....
That said, it does a great job and I don't even know when it's running... Thank you Sir, may I have another ;-)

This dishwasher is quiet and beautiful. Well designed and I love the utensil rack up top. I found that it did not rinse my dishes as well as my old washer though. It requires a rinse aid and detergent for automatic washers. Surprising, that these things are needed for such an advanced machine.

I purchased a month ago, and it is horrible! After a two hour cycle, it cannot even clean drinking glasses. The dry feature does not work. The racks are horrible. Nice they are adjustable, but they are so weak, with just three plates in the bottom they collapse. 2 broken glasses already because the racks are so weak, and when you close the door they fall over along with the glasses. The only good thing I can say is it is quiet.... Other then that, awful! My cheap old dishwasher worked better.

its quiet. its pretty. now, the issue is that it doesnt completely dry. read reviews that said it was not that great of a machine. and that it didnt dry fully. well, i read that afterrrrr i purchased it already. too late. didnt go thru hassle of returning it n stuff. anyways, i had a really old one before and it dried fully. jet dry. this one doesnt, it has a feature for extra dry or jet dry. doesnt work. wet, when done. even after all lights are off
Pros: Style/Design

True, this LG is very quite. And you don't have to per-wash your dishes but do allow enough time after-wards to re-wash some of your dishes again. There isn't as much room between the rungs as I had expected so there isn't a good clean wash. And you do loose some spacing when using to top rack. The very top rack for utensils has some spacing issues as well. The bottom rack has room for pots & pans but if you are washing plates, be sure to roll the rack in gently. Other wise your plates will roll towards the front. The top rack doesn't have that problem but deciding what fits where is an issue. I have problems with such things as stemware, coffee mugs and glasses want to tip over. Oh, I also most forgot. Do allow enough time to dry you dishes when the washer is done.
