[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 6 months ago and don't have any problems with it's performance and with it's many cycle selections I can choose what is appropriate for my specific load. Many of the bad reviews list problems where the solution is actually in the owners manual. To get a good energy rating or an Energy Star rating, a heater can't be used for the drying of the dishes. Using hot water and the built in heater during the rinse cycle gets the dishes hot so when it dries it circulates the hot moist air with a fan through a chamber and the moisture condenses and is drained. Rinse aid is required to sheet the water into a thin layer on the dishes making drying easier. However the dishes that are easiest to dry are the ones that are dense like metal, glass and ceramic because they hold heat and allow the water to completely or almost completely evaporate. Plastic dishes don't hold much heat so are seldom completely dry. If you wish, you can try the sanitize cycle where the water gets much hotter and see if that helps with your drying. Also note, try to never open the door when it's in the drying cycle. You will let out much of the heat that is required for drying. If you do open the door, it is most likely your dishes will not dry at all. As far as leaving a film, you must realize that the dishwasher doesn't come with whatever is coating your dishes as part of the machine but it's what you or your water is adding to the machine. This is where you need to read the manual and adjust your rinse aid settings. Since most soaps now come in a packet with rinse aid you may need to start with setting the machine to it's lowest rinse aid setting first. Getting the lower rack to go in can sometimes be difficult but whatever you do don't force it. If you bend a wheel it will be difficult almost every time you try to push it in. Remember the lower rack is trying to bridge the gap between the door and the cabinet. If they put it on rails to prevent this you would not be able to remove the bottom rack. Knowing what to expect from this machine will allow you to enjoy it and appreciate it. As I said, most bad reviews listed have the answers listed in the owners manual which makes me believe they are not reading the manuals and then jump on sites to complain. Appliances are getting more sophisticated and technical and are no longer intuitive and reading the manual is becoming necessary just as many of the items we now purchase. Try buying a different brand of Smart Phone than the one you currently have and try to operate it without reading any of the instructions and see how that works out for you.

Great Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A couple of months old now....so far so good. It is SUPER quiet. It is easy and to load and easily adjusted for various sizes. It cleans absolutely perfect. The black stainless is fantastic. The controls are easy to use. I have notice a foul smell and this is a concern. My last dishwasher had a terrible smell all the time and I am afraid I might have the same problem with this one. If so...I will not be a happy camper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two months ago and like it, but when it finishes running the full cycle it sings and there is know light that indicates the dishes are clean. I either unload right away or place a sticker on the front to let others know the dishes are clean.
Pros: Performance, Quality, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the design on the lower rack is very bad. while being able to lower some of the holders is a nice idea they are spaced too far apart to hold the plates in an upright position. I am so tried of my plates falling against each other and the flashing blue light on the front while they are being washed is annoying you have a light that shows the machine is being used but no where does it show the cycle is complete or dishes are clean
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, Quality, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet and flexible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is extremely quiet and flexible in terms of its basket configurations. The tines within the baskets move up and down to accommodate different sized dishes or cookware. Also the top rack can be raised or lowered to make room for big things. It is also a really nice looking appliance. My only complaint is that it has too many flashing lights and chimes.

Not as great as other LG appliances

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to purchase our kitchen appliances after buying an LG washer and dryer. We are very happy with the washer and dryer, the refrigerator and the microwave. The electric range cooks hot, but is OK. The dishwasher is a disappointment. It takes FOREVER to do a load and it doesn't always get everything clean. I wish I had researched other dishwashers before buying this one.
