mid range tank printer

great for printing several thousand mail labels each month.
to print a single letter and envelope, i have to go to printer and manually change paper setting. why doesn't program do it automatically? it's very annoying.
also the offered downloadable pdf for the instructions is 277 pages and won't fully download to be printed out. I really expected better from epsom, and at this price for a printer.

Poor print quality

I have kept this printer for 8 months hoping I could find a solution to the poor print quality but that has not happened. It has gone through a cleaning print head process over and over again but nothing gets better. The quality we have experienced has been horrible. I wish I would have been more vigilant in the first 30 days so that I could have returned it to the store. I am only hopefuls that Epsom might respond to this post with possible solutions to the waste of money that it seems I have for a printer. The idea of the Eco tank is great. But the quality of printing makes this a poor value.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This one is a perfect replacement printer for your small office and or home use. Besides the Ink Tanks I love the ability to scan a stack of up to 30 documents into a single PDF file. I have not done 30 and probably will never do so.
The fact that this printer works well on WIFI is a bonus. I can print from other devices or remotely. This is a nice to have. I can now print from my IPAD.
Considering the Ink. It is well worth the higher expense of the printer to do away with the cartridges. I already bought my backup ink for when I need to top off.
I am impressed. I also find the print quality to be great. I did not buy this to be a photo printer. I bought it to be a business printer. It does the job well.
We are already planning our phase out of the other printers and replacing them with the ET-4500.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's about time printer manufacturers stopped the
printer cassette consumer rip-off. Ink cassettes
that are too small, TOO EXPENSIVE, and too

Leave it to EPSON, a very well liked and appreciated printer manufacturer to have the
moxie to step up to the plate and provide we
consumers with a SUPERB printer which also
provides the tech advantage of ink tanks which
not only last like the ENERGER BUNNY, but a
well designed, well thought out EPSON unit
that FINALLY address all the problems we cosumers have to endure using ink cassette
printers and their outrageous costs.

This product is excellent for producing slides for class presentations, downloads of registrations, and general copy use. When color is important for designating a special portion of an illustration for class use, this color is perfect.

Finally

Yes, finally, a refillable printer : makes so much sense ... but the suits in the boardroom probably scowled at the business model > "How we gonna make money?"
Other than the obvious fact that within a month of having this printer I have gotten my $$$ worth, the quality and speed of this printer is completely amazing.
I was a bit worried setting up it up because Epson is very explicit in saying that you really don't want to spill the ink anywhere - but it wasn't a big deal. Everything is well labelled. I opened up the ink bottles over the sink with a paper towel in hand - just to be safe.
The other thing I like is that you can see the fill levels without having to open an access panel or getting a report from the system preferences. Whereas with other models, you really didn't know HOW much ink you have > here you can actually see it.
Well done Epson! I look forward to buying more from you in the future! ... And yes, I made sure to save the box and packaging that it came in!

Print quality poor after about a year of use

I bought this printer in October of 2015 and started having issues with print quality at just over the one year mark when it was out of warranty. The colors and black ink are all faded. I have cleaned the print head multiple times with no sustained improvement. Would not recommend to purchase
