It's really good in some areas like display. But lacks sound quality a lower priced TV would have.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: speakers could be way better
I would recommend this to a friend!

SMART HUB IS A LITTLE CONFUSING AND I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT KIND OF GAME CONTROLLER TO BUY TO PLAY THE GAMES. NEEDS A SOUND BAR FOR SURE, WHICH I BOUGHT.
Cons: live sporting events at real time have a trailer
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great picture that hasn't truly unleashed its true potential as there is no 4k content yet available. Good features; however speakers are terrible. Soundbar is a must!!
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: terrible speakers
I would recommend this to a friend!

tv looks great but....

The tv looks pretty great, 4k upconvertion looks the best with Bluray movies and cartoons, but regular dvds look a bit blurred out. App streaming looks pretty good but in all honestly not better then bluray. The tv brightness is incredible with daylight scenes on movies but when it comes to dark scenes the display looks very bad and you can definitely see the led display all washed out from the corners, top and bottom.
I could not wait to open my brand new 50" SUHD 4k TV. I finally pulled the trigger and decided to replace my old, yet still working, 32" LED, with a top of the line 4K TV! It came and it came in a very sturdy box. Not a thing moved in it and the packaging was befit for no damage, no movement travel. I opened the box with the giddiness of a 12 year old opening presents on Christmas Day. Upon the unboxing, I let the smell of brand new electronics, styrofoam and new scent fill the room, leaving me and my nose in an extra fit of joy! Who doesn't love the smell of NEW things! As I carefully placed all of the objects out of the box, I noted how exquisite the packaging was even more. Everything was properly placed in the box to maximize the room of the box and allowing not one piece to hit another. Well done Samsung, well done. After reading the directions on how to assemble, I said to myself, "This seems easy enough!" And easy enough it was. Took less than 30 minutes to assemble everything with careful hands and my own proper tool (a screwdriver...). I am one of those people that love to keep the plastic on for a few days after unboxing but my wife insisted that I take off the sticky plastic to let the bezel and corners of the TV really show the beautiful design. She was right...as always. It's a truly beautiful TV even when not powered on. I placed all the correct wires and cables into the back, which was a cinch. All labels were easy to see on the manual and on the back of the TV and finally turned it on! Ahhhh, the beautiful vibrant colors of Samsung. Colors were eyepopping without even messing with any of the configuration settings, which of course I ended up playing around with after for hours. The contrast of dark to light were severe and to the point where my graphic designer wife was commenting on how contrasting they were and began to play around with the settings as well. I've played video games on it, streamed music and videos and couldn't be anymore pleased with this product. It reacts well to the fast gaming of Halo or Call of Duty especially under the "Gaming" mode; the fast action graphics of movies such as Avatar and the Hobbit. It also looks fantastic with House of Cards and Breaking Bad. However I have not used the "Smart" aspect of the TV as much. There are so many other casting devices where the "smart" part of the TV was and is rendered almost useless. The sound could also be lacking for those who are audiophiles. We ended up getting a Samsung Soundbar to go along with the TV and our ears have been pleased by it. I highly recommend it. Overall, I am very, very pleased with my purchase and I look forward to the future of 4K gaming, videos, and pictures where I know this SUHD will really shine.
