I had never seen this movie before. My mom mentioned about seeing it again so I thought I would surprise both my parents & buy it for them. Tom Hanks did a wonderful job portraying Forrest Gump. It was a good movie & much better than I thought it would be.

This movie is considered a classic, and it is very entertaining, but may be a bit "gimmicky" in the story or Forrest Gump appearing in real historical images. It is very good because it is so all-encompassing, taking place all over the U.S. and around the world. Tom Hanks' scene talking at Jenny's grave is an example of great acting.

But it's great to be able to own great older films that have been remastered for great picture and sound! You feel like you're in the action in Vietnam for instance.
