Expensive junk.

Constant issues with printer not recognizing ink cartridges, printer no longer works carriage pins fell off with occasional use of the printer. Wastes tons of ink as it saturates the paper. Worst printer ever, waste of money.

I have only had a chance to print just a few things, but so far I am very satisfied with this printer. When i am able to put it to the test, I will review it a little more.

Description says Pixma iP8720 prints up to 13 X 19 in. Does not mention that the common size print 11 X 14 is NOT available.

So disappointed

Out of the box I was surprised to look at my counter and hands to find a rainbow of splattered colors from the cartridges leaking. Be very careful to stay away from rugs and nice clothing when installing.
I used multiple Macs, Air, Mac PRO, IMAC, and Macbook Pro all on the same network. I have a very difficult time trying to set up on the network. I went to USB and the printer will disappear and the I have to restart the computer. So far it is a real hassle.
It must be a great windows printer but as a MAC owner I will probably trash it.

My old PhotoPrinter (Which I liked)quit on me. I started reading printer reviews. I decided to get this one because the price was reasonable ,and I like the fact it used multiple cartridges to print. photo's . I tested it by printing 4x6's, and 8x10's. and text.I didn't try any larger prints but the fact it can do larger prints is a plus. The print quality was great I'm very satisfied with the printer. It's easy to install I just installed the software and plugged it into my USB port. Some of the software doesn't work like Image Garden. But since I use a photo program I really didn't care. It definitly does what I bought it for to print photo's and text when needed. Great printer!

I am having extreme difficulty matching color from Photoshop to my printer. I have also had the printer control color and still no success.

World's biggest paper weight!

Let me start by saying that I am a loyal canon customer... multiple cameras, dslr, lenses, and printers. I love them all but I HATE THE i8720!!! Paper does not feed no matter what I do... I've only owned it for about 2 months but do not have my original box because I thought I was going to love it like all my other canon product... I was wrong! Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money on this printer
