This product is not something I would expect to be purchasing in 2015. This is a simple, basic, one cup drip coffee maker similar to something that has been on the market for twenty years. There are no special features aside from being a drip coffee maker. The reusable filter is nice but isn't anything special. The design of this appears to be cheap and the color choice is horrible. The cup of coffee that it brews is decent but I am not intrigued by the design or features.
I received this as a sample to try.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Kind of cheap looking. Slow to brew. I like the stainless steel tumbler, keeps my coffee pretty warm. Would be good for a dorm room, but you could essentially do the same thing this does with a regular coffee pot.
Note-I received this for free to test it out. I'd don't think I'd pay retail for this in a store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Single serve coffee maker I've ever use!

I bought 2 of the Pour! Brew! Go! Personal Coffee Makers. I bought an orange unit for brewing my coffee & the green unit for making my tea. I love both of these products. Having a fresh hot cup of coffee each time is wonderful. I even bought the Oster My Blend Personal 20 oz Blender in the color orange, so I can make blended coffee drinks. The orange blender & orange coffee maker look beautiful placed side by side on my kitchen counter.
I am using 1 - 4 cup "basket style" paper coffee filters. I put them in the solid plastic basket holder of the coffee maker, & paper ones fit perfectly. I drink many types of flavored coffees. The permanent Pour! Brew! Go! filter sometimes retains the coffee smell & flavors even after washing. The permanent filter is delicate so I do not want to use harsh soaps or a brush on it. In addition getting all the coffee ground out was a tad messy, often the grounds would end up washing down the drain. Clean up is super easy using the paper filters. I have since bought 3 more of the Pour! Brew! Go! Personal Coffee Makers to be used for family Christmas gifts. I have no complaints about the coffee maker. I'm planning on buying another orange Pour! Brew! Go! So when I have a guest they can make their own coffee to their liking. To sum it up this is an awesome product!

Based on what it is, not against some $150 maker

Hate reviewers that judge an item based on what a "top of the line" product would be. This is roughly a $30 unit. So I will not knock of stars because it doesn't have a programmable timer, a "I drop it from the 3rd floor and it broke quality", a see through water level tank, or a stainless steel construction.
My rating is for a basic maker that functions as intended and is not gushing out coffee all over my counter. At this, I give a high rate to a well made (in its class) coffee maker. Mr Coffee has been around since I was very young, and from the start their products have been top quality in the taste department.
This unit is no different. I do not drink mud (coffee so strong it melts spoons). I used a light roast coffee, with 2 rounded tablespoons in the basket, and the unit put out a blend of hot brew that I totally enjoyed. NOTE: for those who compare this little gem to the Keurig, for as unfair a comparison that would be, I prefer the coffee from Mr Coffee. This company knows how to brew. It has one tricky feature that surprised me. The on switch automatically turns off when the reservoir is empty, but can not be shut off half way through the cycle. I wondered if I had put enough water in so I wanted to stop the machine to peek at the cup level. Nope can not stop it. Second is that I like to have a little half and half added to my black coffee, and the travel mug is pretty right on at 16 oz so I had to put a little less water in to have the room for it.
Final thoughts Mr Coffee has a great unit in initial quality within the reasonableness of the price range. I like it very much.
