Great price for a great printer

Due to our type of AT&T DSL, unfortunately, I was unable to get this printer to work wirelessly. But I did hook it in with the included cable so it works with our desktop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a nice printer for what I paid. I really miss some of the features of the printer I replaced and may buy another soon but to be fair I have only had it a couple of weeks and may learn to get more out of it. Photo is my biggest concern with it. Prints from my iPhone are great but wifi laptop prints are not. Regular printing in great and seems to have effecient use of ink. I would recommend it for the price and will definately keep it.

This is my 2nd Brother MFC product. Previous Brother lasted 7 Years ! So far the J485DW is working flawless. I chose this model because of the retro menu panel that reminds me of my previous Brother product. It's Wireless feature works well. The printer speed is good . I like the sleep mode , instead of wearing out the power button ! And the Ink usage friendly.

Not sure if something was wrong but the print speed was terribly slow, whether color or b/w. In addition there was no adjustment that I could make. Also, when I tried to do a two-sided copy, it would not automatically flip the pages.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Device and Price

Was looking for a quality, low cost printer. Found the Brother MFC-J485DW and was pleased with the printer capabilities, including the dual side capabilities. Was pleasantly surprised that it also had FAX and copier capabilities. Have had the printer approximately 1 month and have used it quite a bit. It has performed without a problem. I would strongly recommend this printer to those looking for a quality inkjet.

Worst printer I ever owned.

This printer requires more ink than any printer I've ever owned. I started tracking what I printed and after I printed 20 color copies and it ran out of yellow ink. It is such a SCAM! DONT buy this printer!

Not the worst printer I have used. It connects easily and functions smoothly. my complaint is with all new style "photo" printers. I have it set to print in grey scale only and it still goes therough color ink faster then black. It also will not print a black text document unless the color ink cartridges are full.
