Washer Hose with Bellow tears and leaks
on April 12, 2018
Posted by: Schexnailder
The washer Hose with Bellow tears and leaks is a common problem with this machine and other LG front loaders. This machine had started to leak soon after receiving this machine. Have had to replace this hose and from what I have read, this has been a long standing problem with LG front loader washing machines. You would think by now they would have found a better system. I wouldn't waste your time with LG and look else where for a washing machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my lg washer for about a month and am loving it. I have had front loaders in the past and my complaint was always the same. It seemed to take a load forever to wash! However, with this set I enjoy the fact that I can whip out the laundry. My only complaint is that the preset wash temp is warm and I prefer to wash my normal loads on cold and I still haven’t figured out a way to change the presetting and it’s a pain to change the temperature.

Best Washer I've ever owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this washer for over 2yrs now and I adore it. It's easy to maintain, it does an excellent job cleaning our laundry, and it's little end cycle chime is adorable. Using it in conjunction with the SmartThinq app just makes it even better, as I love getting notifications when my laundry is done, or being able to check to see how much longer until a cycle it done. I clean out the lint trap every couple months, and run the tub clean cycle as needed, and other than that it has needed nothing else to keep washing clothes as well as it did when it was brand new. We went through three washers before getting this one, and I can honestly say LG has gained a loyal customer from how well this machine performs.
Pros: ease of use, Performance, Quality

Great features, Great washer, limited technology.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this washer and the matching dryer in 2016. The large capacity is awesome and allows us to wash a king comforter at home without any issues. The wash automatically senses the load size and adjust the water and length of wash time. We wash most of our items on permanent press which takes about 38 minutes. The bright white cycle does take a little bit longer but we are washing approximately one weeks worth of white clothes (for two people) and it takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes. My husband loves the sanitize cycle and washes our sheets (one king fitted sheet two twin duvets and six pillowcases) weekly. That cycle takes approximately an hour and 45 minutes. We are very impressed at how clean the clothes come out. The clothes are also rather dry when they come out of the washer which reduces the drying time. We have not had any issues with smells or mold in our washer. We do leave the door open to allow the tub and seal to dry when not in use. We also performed the monthly tub clean as directed by the manufacture. The app that goes with the washer does remind you with an email and within the app itself when it’s time to perform the tub clean. Unlike many other reviews, we have not experienced any issues with leaking nor balancing. The washer will give an error if we place one of our heavy bathmats in there alone but if you place two bathmats in there it will balance itself and spin them both out without issue. Like with every other frontload washer I’ve used, I would not recommend using softener as it tends to gunk up and contributes to buildup and foul smells within the wash tub. Overall, this washer is very dependable and efficient. The only issue we’ve had with the washer is the water pump going out in November 2020.
The biggest irritation and suggestion I would have for LG is that they improve the washer’s Wi-Fi/remote start capability. You can only remotely start the washer if the washer is placed in the remote start mode prior to leaving home. I would also suggest the LG design a automatic detergent dispenser so when customers utilize the remote start function the washer can automatically pull in the amount of detergent needed.
The only reason I did not rate this washer with five stars is because of the water pump going out in less than five years (Maybe LG should consider a commercial grade part) and the issues with the Wi-Fi/remote start feature. If it had been possible I would’ve given it 4.5 stars. I will definitely purchase LG appliances in the future based off of my experience with this washer and dryer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 2 years of use and good care of the washer, the drain pump is not working. Total disappointment from this washer and the "warranty" that it has.

Mold issue

The washer seems to work fine. The problem is the rubber around the door. It collects water which molds. I have to dry it every time I wash clothes and leave the door open so it completely dries out. There was a buildup of mold in it and I used everything I found on the internet to try to get rid of it. There is still a black stain on the bottom section.

I bought this washer/dryer combo three months ago. I had problems with the washer from day one. Drum wobbles and shakes like crazy!! To the point where drum hit the inside glass and scratched it!
LG send a tech one week after the purchase and washer was taken apart completely! Did not find any issues! I'm not happy with a brand new washer being taken apart after just a week after the purchase!! After spending money on the expensive set like that you would imagine it to work perfect for a long period of time! Now I have to deal with a wobbly drum and bunch of scratches that the LG tech put on a brand be unit.
If I could only return this set I would go with a different maker!
