Absolutely horrible

Bought this in September, used for less than 2 weeks and it completely flooded our laundry room. LG sent someone out to repair the washer and he did not find any problems. Told us to run as normal and don't baby it, so we did. Well it has now flooded about 10 times. LG has sent a repair man 3 times, still with no fix and no ideas as to why this is happening. We have to replace our flooring in the laundry room, kitchen, dining room, and living room now because of this. And it is costing us pretty much a fortune. The washing machine is horrible and so is LG's customer service. My advice is to steer clear of this machine as well as the brand. All we wanted was for them to replace our washer with a working model or refund us the money we spent on them. And they refuse to do so.

I bought this washer Jan. 2015 and after 3 weeks this washer begin leaking . I only have 2 in this family so i do not have many clothes to wash. A repairman came twice could not find out what was wrong. The funny thing is you may wash 3 or 4 loads before it will leak. Then it will be all over your floor. After 3 months they gave me another LGwasher the same model because I had bought the matching set and after paying all this money i sure wanted my set to match, Well this morning (AFTER 2 WEEKS OF USE GUESS WHAT; LEAKING AGAIN) , I will be looking for a washer and dryer made in USA.

Below Expectations

I waited a month and a half for this washer because I thought I had found an exceptional machine. I have been very disappointed. The washer does seem to get the clothes clean but so did my ten year old bottom of the line. Some of the cycles are very long, as in two hours or more for a sanitizing cycle. When I washed the towels used to clean my home on this cycle, they didn't seem cleaner than from the old machine with hot water. It does use less water and detergent but the front loader requires a lot of extra maintenance. You have to wipe the gasket and laundry product dispenser after each use and every month, it needs to be run through a cycle with machine cleaner. On a faster spin cycle, the clothes stick to the top of the tub and it's hard to get inside to get them. In my laundry room, a pedestal can't work because of the cabinet height and the water supply behind, which must be accessible. I don't feel this was a good value for the money nor is it very user friendly.

Spin Cycle Failure
on June 10, 2015

from Mount Clemens, MI
I bought this washer on 4-17-15 along with the LG Dryer DLGX4271V. I immediately had problems as the spin cycle went on indefinitely finally ending with an error code. I called LG service and they arrived the next day. They replaced the motor (stator and sensor - the new rotor had broken magnets). The next test load worked fine and the technician left. But the loads after have been a hit or miss. Some complete as normal others never get out of the spin cycle. For example, a load of 4 towels and 2 jeans could not balance to complete the spin no matter how many times I repositioned the load. A load of just a light weight comforter took 1 1/2 hours to complete with the spin cycle taking most of the time. And don't even think of trying to wash throw rugs. I believe I have a lemon! I would not recommend this to anyone. LG what can be done?

Smart features don't work with iOs devices

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchase this machine. I love all the bells and whistles, but disappointed that the SmartDiagnosis and Smart ThinQ features only work with Android devices. Huge bummer, nowhere on the website or flyers is that mentioned.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this today and love it so far! I am reading the user guide because it's pretty fancy.
My husband just fought me to set the dryer! I guess it's a dream come true. I almost got upset when he started telling me which setting to use then I said... Wait, he wants to do the laundry! I kindly stepped to the side. I am in love with this machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't buy, it doesn't spin

I bought this about 3 months ago, and since then I been through some emails and a technician coming over twice to check out why this washer doesn't spin. It comes down to having to wash ONLY similar items of the same mass and volume. The technician that came over did a great job. But the washer on the other hand, is a waste of money. This thing can't spin for beans. This thing freaks out when you are washing different types of clothing. It just keeps readjusting itself, attempts spin again, then errors out. Really inconvenient for someone trying to wash tshirts and towels, or anything with towels for that matter, in one load.
