Nice Printer but sucks at doing what you want.

This printer does nice prints, but it sucks as it holds me hostage as not being able to print a black n white TEXT report because one of the colors are low... HP doesn't even do this. Hate It... never buying a canon again, in fact this one is prolly going in the trash... worthless if i can't just print a text document just because the magenta is low ... bulll
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought my MG6820 printer near the end of February 2016 and was very pleased with it, until on May 18 I had a paper jam. I cleared the jam, but then the printer would not print and there was a terrible screeching noise from it when I tried to print; it probably stripped a plastic gear. I had to have it returned to Canon for a warranty replacement, which will probably create a week or more of non-productivity in my busy schedule.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loving new printer!

Purchased to print my wedding invitations. Initially purchased an HP and ruined an entire box of invitations. Took it back and verified with Canon that this printer could handle the 80 lb cardstock...boy, did it ever! It works like a dream. I still haven't figured out all of the features, yet. I've just been doing basic printing since then.
Only reason it didn't get 5 stars, is because the ink takes longer to dry than it takes to print. Basically, sometimes you get smudging on your print jobs. Just be aware and it won't be an issue. I had to catch my invitations as they printed so that I didn't ruin any more (I ruined 3 with this printer due to smudges).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does everything I need.
Two items for review. I wish it had a rear paper tray, and also the starter cartridges should be outlawed. Just as i was getting the hang of the printer the ink light warning came on after just 30 pages or so.

Great Printer!

My fiance's grandmother bought this for me for Christmas, and I love it! My only complaint is it's a little bulky, but it prints great photos and documents and has saved me so much time and money. Definitely would recommend this product!

Not worth the money

The main feature of a printer with multiple ink cartridges is that it continues to print when one runs out. However, I am not experiencing that with this printer. The documents print but not properly they appear with missing spots. The other thing I find disappointing with this printer I am unable to scan directly to the SD card when inserted in the memory slot on the printer. My old HP printer that was not wireless had that feature. Also, I find the printer menu cumbersome and annoying. I think they should have added scroll bars because the touch screen is too sensitive and that makes hard to scroll threw the menu options. When the printer is powered off and then powered on it takes Windows a really long time to discover the printer is available maybe a windows thing... Scanning documents with multiple pages is a very complicated thing. Finally, when attempting to print it complains that there is no paper in the printer when that is not the case. I have to remove the printer tray several times before it deters the paper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
