WORST SETUP PROCESS EVER...
on January 7, 2022

I am an avid tech user, and this has to be the worst user experience i have ever had. the setup guides are a joke, and the online support is even worse. Took me 2 hours to get it setup and working. WOULD RECOMMEND not buying his printer!!!! Canon should fire everyone in their user experience group for allowing this to be produced and sold.

Don't Buy It!

I gave it one star because there is no zero star options. I got this last year. It didn't work straight out of the box. I contacted customer service. They were extremely helpful and replaced it quickly. I have been fighting this second one for a year. It doesn't print good enough to put a recipe in my cookbook, let alone send any printed paperwork to school or a business. The paper jams about every 3 pieces of paper, even if I feed them one at a time. This printer replaces an old Brother printer I had that was 9 years old and NEVER had a problem with. This printer is a piece of junk.

I had the MG3520 before, it is easy to use. Why the replacement cartridges are more expensive, than the machine?

I bought this printer and I'm VERY disappointed. I have called support 3-4 times. It stopped printing several times. Curently it is NOT printing, It has caused a lot of time and loss of production on my part.

Not Truly Wireless
on November 17, 2020

You can not call a printer wireless if you have to schlepp across the house to physically turn the printer on when you need to print. The annoying thing times itself out and turns itself off. Furthermore, when having to physically turn the printer on recharges the ink each and every time, this 'wireless printer' becomes nothing more than a cash cow for Canon to sell more ink.
Print quality is not good enough to justify this major inconvenience and consumer 'gotcha' design. Shame!

Horrible

I dont typically give ratings but I had to make an exception. Will not connect to the internet despite being in the same room as the router or even directly next to the router. Waste of money.

MacBook Pro M1 incompatibility
on January 29, 2022

Wireless and. Canon website support incompatibility issues galore. Website and wizard lists different connection directions of which neither worked. Drivers download and will not install. Password required that you have to research to find and none of them listed work. Canon app for iPhone unable to find printer repeatedly and gives different instructions than what website gives. Had to connect it to my old 2013 MacBook and connect with USB to get a page to print.
