Nice sound, some shortages with Spotify.

Sound quality is perfect when streaming Spotify Premium. The sound quality through BT or from internet radios weakens even from the same Spotify Premium. From Spotify you can preset Playlist only - no Album, no Artist nor Radio. Six preset buttons always start Spotify Playlist from the beginning, no resume. Thumbs Up/Down on remote control unavailable for Spotify "Radios" to improve them.
I hope Bose will fix those shortages in the nearest future. Then would be 5 stars.

The soundtouch 20 is a great sounding speaker plagued with connectivity issues. We can only use it reliably as a teathered speaker in auxillary mode. I've suffered with this thing for three years now and finally switched to another proprietary multi room system which is flawless. (hint, its spelled the same front and backwards)
The setup process through the bose app on an iphone is excruciating and takes multiple attempts to connect to any network. We've tried it at home, at work and at a friend's house. All had issues. Once it does accept the network settings. It may play for an afternoon, a day, or an hour but eventually it starts to cut out, then it just stops. No attempts to restart or change stations seems to get it to reconnect.
Bose makes a great speaker but can't seem to get the connectivity kinks worked out.

We bought a Soundtouch 30 in August 2016. The sound is clear and powerful, but mostly un-adjustable. Startup and connectivity was quick and easy. We are very disappointed that there is no way to modify the sound, other than a "Bass +/-" adjustment. We expected that a speaker in this price range would have full equalizer capability. We expected more. Much more. We like to "tune" our music to suit our tastes. This product is more focused on sheer volume, and connectivity options, rather than sound quality/adjustability.
