Love the sound

I got this as a Christmas gift and it's by far the best gift. The sound is awesome and I couldn't ask for better speakers than Bose. Far above the rest.

No Airplay? No Equalizing

I just received 2 SoundTouch 10 speakers I ordered after reading many reviews of the product. What I am shocked by are that it appears Bose dropped Apple Airplay connectivity, so you can only Bose' clunky app to control the speakers. And that app doesn't allow you to adjust treble, midrange - just bass. As a result, the speakers sound flat, you can't do anything about it. You can't simply use iTunes, which does have equalization available. Bose' solution seems to be just connecting via Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi, but that has all sorts of issues.

Marvellous Speaker

My wife and I absolutely love Soundtouch 10. The sound is so rich. Very even between high frequency and bass. Neither is overpowering. The quality of the sound is reminiscent of other Bose audio products that I have and have had in the past.
The only complaint that I have, is the hard copy of the manual seemed to be vague and hard to understand. My wife and I found it difficult to figure out. I sell consumer electronics and I finally figured everything out from getting the controller app to work on all of our devices to connecting the Soundtouch10 to our router.
We are eagerly waiting for Bose to update the speaker so that when it comes time to buy a second speaker, they will have the ability to pair with each other for stereo sound. Looking forward to that time. Thanks Bose for another great audio product.

Disappointed

I want to start out by stating that I absolutely love Bose audio systems. I have at home speakers, soundlink, noise canceling earbuds, car audio, and a SoundTouch 30. This is my first purchase that I've been disappointed with. These speakers are not a quality "stand alone" in a room. They are a halfway decent compliment to an existing SoundTouch 30. Not anywhere near worth the money. My soundlink mini has a better sound quality, and a better bass sound.

The SoundTouch 10 is a great introduction to SoundTouch speakers, being small enough to place anywhere in your home while delivering plenty of great sound and volume. For even more power and bass, we also offer products such as the SoundTouch 30 which will provide even more room-filling sound. That being said, you should be getting better sound from the SoundTouch 10 than what you have described and we would like to help.
One thing we wanted to mention is that the bass on the SoundTouch 10 is adjustable using the SoundTouch app. You can also increase the bass by putting the system in a corner or near a wall.
