No oven light without openning door

It works ok. Had trouble with one burner not lighting. They serviced it and repaired. So ok. But never heard of having to open the oven door to see inside!!! Every other stove I know had a button so you could see inside. This is a real disappointment. Never asked because never heard of such a thing. When I went back to store they were shocked. GE dropped the ball on this.

if we would have know this e never would have bought this oven - you cant turn the light on - the light is only available when the door is open - why put a glass door on if you cant look in - it just makes it harder to clean

Oven Door hinges

Per instructions to remove the oven door to convert to LP the hinges snapped open. The oven door could not be put back on. The trying to return the hinges to an unlocked position is not possible. If you try the hinges will damage the door. It is not covered under warranty.

There is no light that you can turn on to watch something baking. You have to open the door to turn a light on. That has me so upset I can't comment on the rest of it. Hello it's an oven. I should be able to bake and see what I am cooking. Also it seems to cook uneven on the oven. I can't get the top burners to simmer. They boil no matter how low I have it. I have had tons of GE appliances and I recommend them but this one is a bust.

Bought this in December and wish I had looked more carefully. There is no way to turn the oven light on without opening the door and I always used that on my prior GE stove. Takes a long time to preheat. Tried the steam cleaning feature and it didn't work very well.

This is my 2nd set of GE appliances the first was electric range and this gas range is my 2nd I love the stove love the griddle but the quality is very poor. The bottom drawer is very cheap metal like a tin can but actually thinner!! If you have to take it out for any reason its very hard to get back!!

Wasted large burner. Too big to use very often. No way to turn oven light on when door is closed. Next size burner heats too slowly. It takes 20 minutes to boil a kettle of water.
