Wouldn't buy again

Grates on top of stove rust. Also it is very hard to push timer button and few others. Not worth the money

Love it - but

After cooking on an electric cook top for the past year, cooking is fun again thanks to this range. The burners are powerful enough to bring a large pot of water to boiling very quickly and adjustable to a setting low enough to simmer without burning.
I haven't used the self-clean feature, so cannot comment on that.
I've cooked on many types/brands of ranges, cook tops and ovens, so some of the things are personal preferences but it's easy to adapt to the GE and it really does cook extremely well.
There are 4 things I don't like. 1) the touch pad - have to press very hard and/or many times for the selection to "take". 2) the oven rack placement - the bottom rack practically sits directly on bottom of the oven. 3) the requirement to press start after making type of baking and setting the temperature. Since you have to make 2 selections before the oven operates, pressing start is unnecessary. I really do mean it when enter the first two. I'm used to it now, but my first several oven experiences weren't good. I was ready to put the food in and was surprised with a cold oven. Lastly, 4) I prefer to set my own convection bake temperature. Most recipes already have the Convection temp plus convection has been around long enough for practiced cooks to make the conversion all by themselves. Less practiced cooks can learn it quickly.

Excellent Range

We have had it for 2 months now and it more than meets our expectations. The oven heats up to temperature quickly. All the versatility of the burners because of the various sizes is a great feature. This is our first gas range and we will never go back to electric. Happy Wife, Happy Life.

Very disappointed with the quality

We bought our very first gas range and I was ready to send it back after using it for a month. I take such very good care of my belongings. It's very fragile. I found that what I thought was stainless steel is actually (probably) aluminum, sprayed silver. The front knobs are so light that they are either aluminum or plastic. The oven floor bleached from a sour cherry dessert I had made when the cherries spattered on the floor,possibly because I had set the oven at the temperature given in the recipe, and the oven was so inaccurate. A service technician reset the oven yesterday. He also replaced the floor of the oven. I have been baking and cooking for over fifty years. We do not eat out. I like the "old ways" of cooking and baking everything from scratch. We have our first GE refrigerator downstairs. It works but is old and tired so I wanted gas. I wish things were made in America and people in this country could have the job of making things of quality. Yes, I would pay to know that things we purchase were of trusted quality and were made right here in America.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought and using for a month. First time gas range owner. I have not burned anything but my fingers yet. The front large burners are very powerful. I have to invest in additional pot holders because the pot handles get hot fast. This stove works great. We have used the griddle a few times. We like breakfast from the griddle. I have also grilled vegetables on the grill side of the griddle. Honestly, the griddle and grill seem more like an "in theory" feature. It is great for a quick grilled cheese or maybe a few pancakes, but cooking bacon or burgers is not a great idea. There is a very small area for any draining grease to go. Any vegetables that fall over the edge of the grill area are down by the flame and it's not great. Also there is a steam cleaning function for the oven. I had a drip into the bottom of the oven from a frozen pizza and I used this feature but I still have the black burned drip that I cannot get off. I haven't bought oven cleaner for a long time, not excited to now for all the chemicals in it.

This oven has everything I wanted. It has 2 large burners which I love. My favorite is the center griddle. Easy to clean and awesome to use
