A good replacement! Grates need to be changed so that they are not close to the edge of the stove.

Excellent Design, Function, Ease of Use, AA++++

We purchased this online but picked up in the store. I had to convert it to Propane using the included kit, it is not too difficult but would recommend a professional if you are not familiar with this type of work since there are a few things that can go wrong (not due to GE design, just the nature of the process).
We purchased the extra grate for the center for our needs, but most folks probably would not need that. The griddle is great, and has already made a lot of pancakes, eggs, sausages, pork chops, and steaks.
The oven is amazing, it heats up lightning fast. We have used the Broil and Convection Bake options as well as the standard Bake option. Everything works flawlessly and we could not be more pleased with the function.
We haven't had to clean it yet, but noticed the pan in the bottom is made to fill with water during the cleaning cycle to create steam. I think this is a great idea and look forward to trying it out (I can honestly say I have never before wanted to get an oven dirty so I could try to clean it). We will be roasting a lot of ducks, since we run a duck farm, and these pop a lot of grease on the inside of the oven. We will have a chance to try this feature out soon.

So disappointed!

We have had this new range for over 3 months. It still emits a "gas like" odor. Our guests notice it and we notice it every time we walk near the range. I don't know what to do. The stainless steel used for this product seems does not clean up as well as our old GE Profile range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have had the stove for about 6 months. Very happy with it. Burners are great. Oven cooks evenly. Top does get a little hot when oven is on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE Range

I just bought this range to replace a GE JGB400SEP4SS which was a cheap builder grade range, approx. 7 years old and the oven door glass exploded--I mean BANG!! while in normal use (375º baking Christmas dinner). After contacting GE and finding it would cost almost as much to repair as buying a new stove, I opted to buy this model, a slight upgrade from the exploding kind, but have little fondness for this model, other than being a minimally expensive replacement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
