Good, basic range!

I chose this particular brand and model because of price and features. This new range is replacing a 30-year-old GE gas range that has served me well for the past 26 years (it came with the house). It bakes beautifully. I have noticed with these newer gas ranges the grates sit higher above the flame and water does take longer to boil with the smaller burners. The one exception would be the super burner, but that requires bigger pots. All in all, I like my new GE gas range.

This is totally awesome. I replaced a 15 year old gas range and this one is so much nicer to cook on. This is great for simmering even without a simmer pad.
The only weakness is the bottom drawer, seems cheap.

Very pleased with overall quality. Built with more structual integraty than competitors. Quality made, well designed Control Knobs and Storage Drawer.
Wish the Timer Alert was louder.

Nice but one flaw

Great product, works great every time. I was concerned the black enamel would be difficult to clean but cleaning is no problem. The only negative is that I wish the unit would have come with a center grate versus the pan. The grate would have been more useful.
