Great Range But

Great range but the first time I used the self cleaning mode it stained the bottom of my oven. So far I have been unable to remove the stain by any cleaning method. The ceramic cooking grates also scratch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This Stainless Steel range with 5 burners and a large center griddle is just right for our kitchen. With Grandchildren, the surface is fingerprint resistant and with the recommended cleaner, we keep it sparkling all the time. The oven is fantastic.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this range to replace a relatively new one (by a different manufacturer) that some issues.
This GE range is a vast improvement. I can get the burners to a very low simmer (impossible to do on the previous one), and the convection oven ensures more even baking. The middle griddle comes in very handy (either as a cooking griddle, a warming surface, or an extra place for pots/pans removed from a burner). The burner grates are near-commercial stove in weight and quality, and their good height over the burner works to keep the spill/splash field around the burners much cleaner.

Coming from a electric stove and am happy to be cooking with gas. I am a tough critic but everything so far is working as I expected. This range is has a cheaper feel to it than the one it replaced. For instance the bottom drawer is pretty flimsy and the oven racks are thinner than I am used to. It would have been nice to have the option to have a center grate included instead of having to purchase separately
