Oven cooks hot and no oven light switch

I loved my my old GE range but after having this one for about two months I am dissapointed. Everything I bake whether regular or convection setting starts to burn before it is done. I've decided that the oven is just too hot. I am going to try adjusting the temps in my recipes and see what happens. The directions for using the convection settinget are poor I had to search online to find out how to use convection for cooking. Also I didn't realize until the range was installed that the only way to turn on the oven light is to open the door and let the heat out of the oven. Poor design. I never thought an light switch wouldn't be standard for an oven.

Simple and looks great

Nice looking stove and easy to use. This is my first gas stove. I like the different size burners. We haven't used the grill in the center because we are not really sure what to use it for. It has become working space where we set spoons, etc. The only downfall is I can't seem to locate a light for the oven. The oven door has to be open for the light to go on. We haven't had it long enough to test out the cleaning functions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No Oven Light Switch/Lack of Grid Protectors

The only way to turn on the oven light is to open the oven door. This is not only inconvenient, but so energy inefficient. This is not something that would be obvious to a buyer, as models are not plugged during the purchase. The lack of protectors on the actual stove top grids - versus attached to the range itself - is another major inconvenience. These grids are neither lightweight nor smooth. When cleaning the range top it is necessary to protect the kitchen countertop before placing the clean grids on it to clean the stove top. Two items we would look for on any future purchase.

I bought this new came with dented handle the store I bought it from blames GE for the damage no one takes responsibility for it and now I'm stuck with a new used stove.

The product looks amazing and the features provided works great for all types of cooking. I feel its consuming more gas to cook and more time because of the high stand on the gas. I wish to replace the stand to little low so the flames reach the pans and cooking shouldn't be taking so long.

We have had this for 2 weeks love it so far the edge to edge is real nice can use 4 big pots at once if needed. The front large burner boils water so fast it's unbelievable. The oven heats evenly so far so good. The best part it's easy to use don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out. The only question is what happened to the broiler pan and booklet coming with a new stove?

Convection fan never worked

Convection fan did not work on first unit so we had to make it change.
No light when the oven door is closed.
Convection fan doesnt activate enough.
Still pretty good range for the price.
