I like the cooktop and different size burners. The oven cooks food evenlly and the bottom drawer is roomy enough to store baking pans.

Check for gas leaks after installation

The first gas range that was delivered to me had a manufacturing defect that caused gas to leak in the oven. The installer checked the gas lines and all were tight. A second ranged was delivered to me the following week. I was almost afraid to use it after my previous gas exposure, but I have used it several times and all seems well. The service from the store I purchased the stove from was great!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my new GE gas range. I have been using an electric range for a long time while I rented different apartments. When my husband and I bought our first house last year we knew right away that we wanted to upgrade to a gas range as our first home improvement. This model fits perfectly in our kitchen. The high speed boil burner makes cooking dinner quicker and leaves us with more time to enjoy our company. The convention oven setting has shaved off lots of time for items that bake, braise, or roast and they cook so evenly! The stainless steel finish is sleek and professional looking and will match all our future appliances. As a professional Chef I cook on gas ranges all the time at work and this one is very comparable to my commerical grade equipment but at a huge price difference. This range was a great purchase!
