Cook like a Master Chef

This range is a dream to cook on. I love using the griddle! The cooking service is easy to use, and clean up is a lot more simplistic than ranges I've used in the past. The oven is terrific, I love using convection to speed up the baking process. The one downfall to this specific range is there is no way to turn the light on inside the oven to view your food unless you open the door.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE Slate Gas Range

Love the Slate finish, great performance, gas has spoiled me for any kind of electric range, only two nits to pick. 1. No switch to turn on the oven light, so you have to open the door to check what your cooking. 2. We've had trouble getting the steak clean feature to work properly, when it does work properly it is great.

Would like to have had button to turn on light inside oven without opening the oven door, also be able to remove griddle and replace it with another grate.

I bought this range last month along with the microwave, dishwasher, and french door fridge. The suite looks sleek and lovely in my kitchen. It's been three weeks and I really love this range. Food cooks quicker and we don't even need to use the highest level on the stove to cook. I've used the oven several times and I like the preheating feature (which I didn't have on my prior oven). One thing to note, for safety purposes it may be better to use mitten pot holders because larger pot holders may catch fire since the flames on this stove are very high.

Great Range!

I bought this range 6 days ago, I love it! It replaced a dinosaur of a gas range that was here when I moved in. My new GE gas range has large burners which heat water quickly or heat food evenly. The oven works great and bakes evenly. I actually baked a cake for the first time in three years! Can't wait for my next baking project! I haven't used the griddle that comes as a fifth burner yet, so I can't comment on that. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the numbers on the burner knobs are a little dim and the signal when the oven timer goes off could be a little louder. Otherwise, I love this range, a great buy!!!!!!

Neat stove, but a little quirky

We bought this range right after an electrical storm fried the electronics in our previous range. The burners still worked, but the oven was toast. An important feature was the fact that the burners on this range would ignite with a lighter, so that we could cook even if the power went out. Less than two months later we had a major storm and our electricity was off for SIX days. Thanks to the burners that worked with a lighter, we were able to keep ourselves fed during the outage. (The oven didn't work, but that's okay.)
