Nice range but quality is not what it was.

Nice addition to our other GE slate appliances but certainly corners have been cut with regard to quality as I've also seen with the other GE appliances. My biggest complaint is the reduction of individual HOT SURFACE indicators. This new range has just one indicator which is pretty much useless as you have NO idea which burner is hot. Obviously the goal was to reduce build cost at the expense of a useful feature. The bottom drawer is cheaply made as possible and doesn't really slide out, you just kind of drag it out. Overall build quality is below average in my opinion. As for reliability, time will tell.

We like everything about this range. It is a breeze to clean. The temperature settings seem to be spot-on. We like having the 5 elements on the top, including the warming element. The elements heat up quickly and cool down quickly when turned off. We really like the controls on it.

Our previous range stove broke and I failed to fix it. You see how much trouble I was in when my wife tried to cook? After a careful and thurough browsing online (and in store), I chose GE as the best gift to my wife (even though she definitely didn't see it as a gift but rather my redemption...). About the product --- we really liked the warm zone feature where it is definitely practical to us. And the overall heatup was quick and effective. No complaint. The delivery and installtion went well. I wanted to take over the installation part but my wife stopped me from doing so with the fundamental fear that I would break it...Happy wife, happy life...and happy meals!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the look and so far, the performance of this range. Very sleek appearance and multiple options for doing most everything this family cooks/bakes. Cook top, oven and broiler are terrific!
Most disconcerting is the color/finish on the cook top -- very difficult to keep it looking clean! Everything, even water leaves marks and smears; worse than early versions of stainless steel; despite following directions and cleaning products provided with this appliance. Also, will have to return to the showroom and ask for demo on how to remove the over door as the provided illustrations do not clearly detail this.
Would definitely recommend this product to others - just keep the overhead light off.

I really dislike the color of the cooktop. It is all black and shows every speck and smudge. My previous GE ovens cooktop was grey and much nicer to take care of.
