A good stove

I like this range. I have not had a chance to use the steam feature for cleaning the oven, but I am really looking forward to trying it once we stop grilling outside. The ceramic top is different. It looks hazy after wiping down with a damp rag, but cleans up with the ceramic cleaner. Interestingly, the directions say to clean up any sugar spills while the range is hot. That was not a good thing to do with my old range. I make jams, and the spills cleaned up beautifully while the burner was hot. Regarding the convection feature of the oven. The directions said the oven adjusts for the convection feature automatically. Not sure I understand this, since when I have used this feature, the food was done sooner than planned. I lower the convection temp 25 degrees from the recipe, and the results are better.All in all, I am happy we chose this range.

Love my new stove!!

We had purchased a whirlpool stove 6 years ago. Not quite a year after we purchased, the flattop stove had liquid boil over and the top bubbled everywhere. It still was functional, just not real pretty. Not quite 5 years after purchase, the large right front burner would not work A year after that, the small right back burner stopped working. It was a disappointment. We purchased the GE and so far, WOW, HUGE difference in the quality of the stove, as well as it's functionality.

Oven keeps oven temp very consistent vs old oven would drop several degrees before heating back up to temp, oven pre heats crazy fast, mine took 7 mins to reach 450F

I have only had it one month. For the most part this is a good range, but the glass top is very hard to keep clean, even using the cleaner provided. Also, I have never used a convection oven before. I tried it when I had a casserole I needed to get done more quickly. My research said if I used the same temp on the convection setting it would cook faster, but it took exactly the same time as the recipe said, which was really disappointing as my family sat eating the other part of the meal while waiting on the main dish!
Regular baking and stovetop cooking work fine and it looks very nice! Control panel is easy to use and the timer had a nice one minute warning feature that we like.
I would recommend this to a friend!
