Love the dark slate. The features are awesome and are still learning. The cooktop did a super job heating. Unless something happens, this is going to be an appliance that will be around for a long time. Thanks Lowe’s for the great deal.

Works well, good features. Heats quick, shows you oven temp as it's preheating. Convection works well and seems to bake things well and evenly.

Odd burners, poor safety design & timer features

I purchased this range to replace a 14 year old Frigidaire model. The burner sizes are odd - the ones on the left are really small, even the one labeled Large Burner. I have standard sized pots and pans and the burners just don't fit efficiently.
Maybe more important than this annoyance is that the Hot Surface light is actually on the stove top, so you have to be looking down at it to notice it. My old range had the hot surface light higher where the little kids and I could see it, and it signified both a burner on and a burner too hot to touch.
Finally, the last annoyance is an extra, non-intuitive step of having to press Start after you enter the oven temperature, and having to press Start after you enter a value in the Cook Time or Timer. Every other appliance I ever owned, you just set the temperature and time you want -- you don't have to do the extra step of pressing Start. I've left food in the oven for 30 minutes before I became used to this extra step.
