Easy to clean but temperature fluctuates

I don't like how the heating element goes off and on to maintain the temperature. When it's on it is set to high which burns what's cooking then it goes off and the temperature drops drastically. It's almost impossible to cook rice that doesn't burn. The same goes for the oven. I almost regret not getting a gas stove but the fact remains that it's easy to clean and gas stoves aren't. I just have to babysit my food when it's cooking to insure that it doesn't burn.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The stove looks great, and after 25 days is working fine. The Convection Bake works on all recipes without adaptation; only noticed my Christmas nutbread didn't brown quite as much as before. I love all the oven racks and positions, and hidden heat elements on bottom. Pizza crust browns well. The dual element is great; I can fit heat to all pan sizes.
Negatives: The cooktop glass is hard to clean and gets marked up too easily. Oven heat up is a bit slower than my 24 year old Whirlpool was; elements a bit slower to heat too. But all in all I am pleased with the product..
