I had this same range for 14 years. Due to a power problem with my main line, to repair this stove was almost what I paid for it 14 years ago, so I decided to get a new one, but the same one I had. Everything is fine, except the oven seems to cook slower than the old one. I guess it is because of the covered baking element.?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice stove meets our needs

Ourine previous stove we used for 19 years. It had few bells and whistle. This one is similar but does a fine job. Drawer below the stove is a little small. I would buy it again

It lies!

Overall I am happy with this range. However I am appalled that GE would calibrate the oven in such a way that the display readout indicates the oven has reached the preset temperature when in fact it may be anywhere from 70 to more than 100 degrees below that temp. Shame on you! I understand from the serviceman who came out that it takes a long time for a large oven to preheat, which is fine. But he also told me it is “industry standard” to preset the controls
so that it appears the desired temperature is reached faster than it actually is. I am disappointed that my brand new stove lies to me. My old one did too, but not this egregiously.

Glass cooktop

I previously had a ceramic cooktop for 17 years without scratches. This glass cooktop does scratch very easily. Bought a soft cover to help protect the surface when not in use. It is a nice looking stove. Works well. No issues with digital display. I haven't tried the steam cleaning yet, but that's part of reason I selected this stove. I also wanted slate appliances to go with kitchen remodel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
