Some good and some bad

The oven could be better ... first imperfection is the oven light burns absolutely too fast. The GE rep advised me if cooking on the back eye creates steam it will short the bulb. #notOK The glass top stains very easily and not easy to clean yet the oven cleans up magnificently with ease I LOVE IT. The back burners are too small and the warmer serves a purpose but not really to this cooker. I could’ve chosen better but happy it does the job. Bonus, the various oven settings are GREAT!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice stove, but...

Like this stove a lot, but after one week in service, the timer has quit working. Hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Pros: Beautiful exterior and great stove-top features.
Con: Tried several different oven thermometers and the requested heat setting is never achieved unless you go above it.

Old fashioned style control panel that sticks out over the cooking elements too far, so I can't get my pots with the steamer on top and lid completely on the element because the knobs are in the way. Very poor design that way. Big unattractive gaps over oven door and bottom drawer. The range top and oven cook hotter than the JB650 that I had before our kitchen fire. I wish I could have gotten my old range but it was discontinued.

We purchased the GE electric range and really liked how quickly the cooktop elements heat up. Cooked a cod fillet in less time than our old range, and the fish was nice and moist when finished cooking. All the features we were looking for in an electric range are very easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!
