Fantastic Appliance

I have decided to replace my coil top electric GE stove with a GE electric Convection range. It was without a doubt the best purchase. Great look and it has so many incredible options. One it comes equipped with three oven racks that makes cooking an entire meal much easier.

Excellent design, easy to use - dials "click into place for burners. Oven is accurate regarding temperature!!! Great for baking!!! The one problem was the house clearing, eyes burning, throat scratching, difficulty breathing - strong stench on oven usage at 400 degrees plus. We eventually found - after many times searching with several family members involved in the search - a long strip of clear plastic strip of plastic on the oven door. Even after that was removed the stench continued - lessened, but still room clearing. Only now has the difficulty breathing while the oven is in use finally disappated.
I love the white - finally able to get rid of what I and my friends refer to as the dark monstrosities preferred by some unknown kitchen designer! The dark might work in giant designer kitchens for the very wealthy, but in a normally sized kitchen the dark finish shrinks the appearance of the otherwise comfortable space.

So far, so good. The only thing about it that I don’t care for is the black color surface. It looks good when it’s clean, but it reveals cooking stains more easily and takes a little more effort to wipe off to
look clean again.

Until I get a kitchen sink, my cooking is on hold, although I have used the oven twice for small things and the range top once. I used the small part of the two size burner and it seemed to take forever for an uncovered pot with eggs to come to a boil. I noticed that the burner seemed to cycle on and off quite often. There are features that I have read about that I hope to use soon, such as the automatic adjustment in temperature for convection. And I really like having three racks. Hopefully soon, I will get a counter top and then a sink. It's been three long months since I have been washing up in the bathroom.
