Like the range

I do like the range, easy to use and the oven heats up quickly.
I do not like the black range top, my old one was gray and did not shop dust etc as badly as this one
The only other thing I would like to mention is the drawer is not as solid as expected. It seems rather flimsey.

Just installed this GE oven with the glass-ceramic cooktop and I couldn't be more blown away. From the black stainless (a must), to the slick cooktop, all the way to the nobs and digital display, it just can't be beat. Def the right choice for my new kitchen!!

Tough to learn its parameters

This replacement range is a curious beast. After 4 weeks, still trying to figure out its cooking modes. The stove top tends to be very hot, even a lower settings. It is such that if I did not know that I have been cooking for 58 years and am generally considered an accomplished chef, I would think I was in Home-Ec 101! And still truly experimenting with the oven settings, which curiously do not run as hot as the stovetop. Have yet to use a probe to test the actual oven temps. Like the black glass top is an improvement over the old light gray tops as the staining should be less. That of course will be partly from the more frequent cleaning that will result from this top being shiny and showing the least amount of dirt.

Great Electric Range!

I've only had this range for about 2 months and so far I love it. It's a very sturdy range and I like the storage drawer. I would definitely recommend this GE Range.
