Just bought the stove; do not appreciate the light colored numbers around the control knobs. Need to turn on the micro lights, in order to read the numbers.

Replaced working 35 year oven - new features

I did a lot of research, reading reviews and in store shopping. This stove had enough new features (convection and ceramic top) that deemed it worthy of replacing a 35 year old trusty oven.

Using for first time tonight, ( the oven), went from regular oven to this convection oven . Wow, as the other things we just bought, so sharp looking, so many more things to choose from for that perfect meal..

GE cheaping out on range features

We bought all new slate appliances; fridge so far is great (few compromises but overall happy) and dishwasher too, but stove has left us disappointed. Notice on almost every model GE has 'cheaped out' on some basic features that would have taken rating to a 4. Easier to clean and more durable stovetop would have got it 5. Colour is great. Appearance-wise it's nice tho there is a big gap between top of oven door and stovetop but get used to it. Side panels look unfinished. So far, function is good and that's critical. Bottom drawer tho full width is pretty small if using for storage. And the hot light indicator on the stovetop is only a single light so can't tell which burner(s) is still hot. Simple thing but another disappointment. My old range had an indicator for each burner and it was more handy than u would think. Agree with another reviewer that timer alarm is too quiet (esp if u have kids). Finally, why not include a plug-in?! For those of us with older homes those extra plug-ins on the stove make a big difference.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Although we used to supply a cord with our electric ranges, this practice was eliminated several years ago since it is not possible to determine the type of facilities each consumer has available or what the local electrical codes require. Great stove

I have been looking for a new stove for quite some time. This has all the features and details I could ever want or need. I am very happy with how it looks and how it works. I also have the GE microwave. I have always found GE appliances to be reliable and long-lasting.
