Not what I expected

First time using the oven I wanted to increase the temperature to give more heat to my item. Thought I just change the numbers using the number pad. NOPE, didn't work, had to find the instructions and its so involved that I just gave up. I still don't understand how to increase temp during the cooking process. It works using the number pad but only before the oven is heated. DON'T LIKE THIS AT ALL..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To change the temperature, after you have set it, simply press the “Cancel/Off” pad, press Bake (or whatever function you prefer), enter your temperature (ex: press 3 5 0 for 350 degrees) and then press Start.

Best we've had yet!

We replaced our old electric range with another brand a few months ago. It had some major issues. We decided to try going to a gas range. We got a gas range in that same brand (twice). It had similar issues with the oven venting way too much heat and not keeping a consistent temperature. We liked the looks and specs for the GE Electric Range, so we thought we would try it.
So far, it is great! Our only complaint is with the beeper. It is simply not loud enough. I went through the menu and it is set on HI, but it can barely be heard in the next room.

We replaced our other range, GE, which we had for 20 years, and it still works great. We just wanted to update. The unit we bought appealed to us as soon as we saw it and the sales person was very informative.

A feature I didn't realize was the ease in cleaning the cook top. I was worried about cooked-on spills but there is some sort of texture finish that makes cleaning up those nasty cooked-on spills a breeze. They just wipe away! The previous "other" brand that I had was horrible and I would have to scrub and scrub but not GE, just wipes off!!!!!!

Bought this a few months ago, and cannot be more pleased! It is so easy to use and clean. I have never had a convection oven before, and wondered if I would ever use it, and to say the least a bit timid as I didn't really know how to use it. I found myself in a pickle when I was late returning from errands and needed to get my ribs done, but regular roasting was going to set me back 2 hours which meant dinner was going to be later than usual. I put them in foil and decided to try out the convection roast option, and to my surprise they were done in 90 minutes. The next day I decided to try out the convection bake, and my cookies came out slightly crispy on the outside, and soft and moist on the inside. They cooked so evenly, no turning the pan, definitely an improvement from our previous oven! The stovetop is great too, it has so many burner size options, and even a rapid boil burner. The only bummer is that I had to get a new teapot, as you can only use flat bottomed pans and my teapot had a raised edge. Haven't tried out the delayed cooking feature, or the auto timed feature, but so far I'm just loving it!
