Better than my old Maytag Gemini

The GE top oven, which I use 99% of the time, is bigger than my old Maytag Gemini top oven. It does take longer to preheat but the temperature is more accurate and consistent with better heating element patterns. My advice is to clean the glass top after each use and get a razor blade scraper. And as with every double oven, be careful not to drop crumbs or spill liquid down between the glass of the lower oven.

This is a sexy range

I purchased this range site unseen, my old GE appliance (that came with the home we just moved in) stopped working, it was about 20 years old and I wanted a new one eventually. I purchased this site unseen due to COVID-19 we wanted to eliminate the need to go to store. It took me about a week to actually pull the plug and make the purchase. After hours of research, reading tons of reviews (good and bad) I kept coming back to this range. I will say I was very nervous, but when we pulled this out of the box I could not have been more ecstatic. Cannot believe I am this excited about an appliance. I LOVE IT! The look of it is sexy, the controls are very nice and easy to use and so far it cooks everything great! I made the kids something simple like pizza rolls just to get the feel of it and when I took them out I thought they weren't cooked all the way, I"m use to the filling spilling out and half of it burning, but they were cooked perfect! The next 5 meals in the oven and on the range have been cooked to perfection. I have not had a hard time keeping the top clean like others have mentioned in reviews, but I only have had it for a few days. So far so good. I am very pleased and highly recommend this product. I did notice that people mentioned the bottom oven being low, it is pretty low and requires you to bend down further, but I don't mind.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Be sure about what you're buying

Both ovens are good sized. While the additional rack positions seemed like a great idea, the temperature variance from shelf to shelf is noticeable (as verified with two oven thermometers.
The cooktop is extremely fragile/show scratches immediately. I placed an aluminum baking sheet on it from my first cookie bake and the scratches were quite a shock. My previous oven/range was used for 15 years and I was always able to clean it and it had no scratches when it left my home today.
The user manual does NOT come with the appliance. You have to download it from the website. I guess we helped save a tree but it was a bit off-putting.
It is day one so I'm not going to rate it extremely low because I was happy about the ability to modify the setting through the "secret" keypad combination.

I’m getting used to a double oven

So this is the first double oven I’ve ever owned. Things to consider. 1. The weight of your cookware and the vertical distance you can lift that cookware. I use large cast iron in the bottom oven, and it is a challenge for me to lift.
2. Heat rises so stand back when opening the bottom oven as the steam hits you right in the face ( I’m sure this is not unique to this oven but applies to all double ovens). As far as surface of this unit, so far so good, only wish the left front burners was just as large as the right front burner. Have not had a chance to test out the cleaning function. I like how fast everything heats up and how you know what temp it’s at while preheating.
