Not well thought out.

I can see why this model is discontinued, a few design flaws. First - the control panel in the rear brings the burners forward enough to miss the average microwave/hood. Second - control placement extremely limits the size and height of pans on the back burners. Third - to clean between door panel glass you have to remove the door, and "wrap a cloth on a yard stick" to fit the openings in the bottom of the door. While removing a baking dish of chicken from the upper oven it tipped and spilled greasey juice right through the closed lower oven door vent between the glass an onto the floor.1

Glass top cracked
on March 31, 2022

I only had this oven for 1.5 years and while I was baking a pie in top oven and using the top front burners the glass top cracked. I can not believe that the cost to repair is equivalent to the price of a new one. I only got this one because I remodeled my kitchen. If I had known it would break so easily, I would have kept my old GE.

Great Oven!

Our previous oven went out and we love this new oven. The only downside is that timer volume is a little bit lower than our older oven (can hear from a room away but not several); however, there may be a way to adjust that but we haven't figured that out yet. The over heats up extremely fast compared to our old oven.

FINALLY A RANGE WORTH WRITING HOME TO MOM ABOUT!

This range is awesome. The double ovens make baking many things at once easy as "Pie!" (In this oven a flakey crust is a snap when using its convection feature.) Count them five burners, one for warming. What makes this oven awesome is the higher wattages of the two main burner elements 3,100 and 3,000 watts. Look at most of the competitors to this range and their elements don't match the versatility of this range with its two 3,000 watt burners. I've seen ranges with less powerful burners costing $400 more than this range.
Two burners let you customize size to the pot or pan being used. The stainless steel lends a sleek modern look. The GE is solidly engineered so the control panel does not wiggle or move when buttons are pressed. Controls are straight forward and easy to use. The quality fit and finish of the range is awesome so it will not just cook endless good meals it will look good in you kitchen too.
I took one star off because; while this is a great range the best for your money by far all products have their down side and this is no different. I don't list the cons because they collectively are piddling bunch of little things that don't matter. This stove is everything I demand and expect from a quality 21st century kitchen appliance. I'm replacing an old GE that was darn good and still is. I'm giving my old GE Workhorse Range to charity. My new GE range makes my old range look like a Model T Ford compared to a late model Lexus today.

Great Oven when cooking for 2 or 10 people
on October 4, 2015

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and love it. Previous oven took forever to heat up, and I always felt it was a waste of energy to warm up a small dish/pot when cooking for 2 people. Very sleek design. Love that I can enter a temp, and not have to use up/down arrows to get to the temp I wanted.
The only down side is if you have your electric/power outlet on the floor/external of the wall, it will stick out slightly further than a full stove that has a lower storage bin instead of a cooking area. Wasn't even a slight impact for me, but some people are very meticulous about the aesthetics, so please take note how your electrical outlet is configured (in the wall, external of the wall) and go from there.

Love this oven

I had a 10 yr old oven that cook very unevenly. The new oven is great a top and bottom oven with convection. I love the that the big heating elements for the pots can be small or large. This oven has made my life easier I no longer need to check what is cooking all the time to see if one side is getting done faster than the other.

The cooktop scratched just from setting a pan on
on December 9, 2015

I bought this stove thinking I would love it and although the lower oven seems to work fine, it's difficult to regulate the heat in the upper oven rendering it virtually useless for anything beyond warming when the lower is on. The stove top is as I said scratched and we used the cream sample that came with it and it doesn't help. I wish GE would come and take back the entire sweet of appliances I purchased. They DO NOT bring good things to life.
