I love the double oven feature! I did not even expect to have this as an option when I was updating my kitchen. I use my top oven about 85% of the time. In fact, more often than not I don't take out my toaster oven anymore (which saves time).
I love the little "song" it plays when it's preheated.
Kudos to GE for supplying some Ceramabryte for cleaning the top.

I wish I could give this product 5 stars. Even after a month, I am still learning & getting used to the way everything cooks. It seems to boil a little quicker than my old stove-eye stove. (yay!) However, I notice that once it heats up, it stays heated up. Even moving the dial down to 2 will keep something boiling instead of a simmer. Also, the high power will cause my pots to boil over a lot. Which is an added pain because then it cakes on and you need to deep clean it using the Ceramabryte & scraper I bought. The manual says to immediately wipe up spills with a dry cloth- but I am reluctant to do that when the eye is still red! (& no! that wooden spoon trick has never worked for me!)
We used the convection roast feature for Thanksgiving and now we know to only cook the 12lb turkey for 2 hours or less at Christmas.
The top seems to scratch easily. I am saddened by the marks that have been made in the month of ownership using only my calphalon anodized pans. The marks are not obvious to someone not cooking over the stove, but they are obvious to me each and every time I do.
We are upset because the manual suggests not using a cast-iron skillet. The manual says you can use an enameled- bottom iron skillet. But the quick-care guide says NOT to use enamel or painted surfaces. This is something we cook with fairly often, and are bummed to not be able to now. (& would love clarification on if you can or can't. quite honestly, I don't know if the marks I see are actual scratches, they seem to be below the surface somehow.)

Overall, it looks pretty fancy. But it's not as functional as I had hoped- which might just be a caveat of the ceramic top. It's my first one, so I have nothing to compare it to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the 2 ovens and the versatility of small cook top elements within the larger ones. Also the warming element is a handy feature though the temperature cannot be adjusted (as it could on my old range). The elements heat up reasonably quickly (especially the quick boil one) and stay hot long after being turned off. The smaller oven is very handy when only cooking for two, but both ovens make it easy when cooking for a crowd. I'm not sure the oven temperature is set accurately because it seems to take longer when baking. Cleaning the cook top has not been difficult, but I have been careful to follow directions and clean after every use so nothing gets cooked on.

We just remodeled our kitchen and bought 4 new GE Appliances. This new stove just passed the test of our Family Thanksgiving! The double oven is great for cooking recipes at two different temperatures. The warming feature on the top oven was a real plus keeping dishes warm before serving. Warmer stove top burner also helped keep the gravy warm without scorching it until ready to serve.
