We upgraded the appliances in our kitchen about four years ago to replace the old ones that came with our home when we bought it. I wanted a double oven partly because it seemed more energy efficient--why heat up an entire oven for one cookie sheet? We live in the Florida Keys and don't want to pay for extra a/c to offset the heat from the oven! It was a great choice, everything I had wanted and no problems. The entire kitchen was wiped out during Hurricane Irma last year and we have been rebuilding our house. I looked at all the new ranges, and picked the same range that we had before. The only difference is that it comes standard with a convection oven on the bottom now. Haven't used it yet since so far everything I cook fits in the small oven on top, but I look forward to trying it out with the Thanksgiving turkey. Super! No regrets.

Works Well, Difficult Cleaning and Cooktop

Double Ovens- Offer great flexibility with a variety of food types to warm or cook.
Cooktop Surface- Difficult to clean. Ceramic top has scratched. Slippery surface. Water boil overs do spit and spatter on surface top.
Warning: Specialized cookware (pots, pans) required for cooking on this ceramic stovetop surface.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Functionally outstanding...very difficult to clean

We purchased the GE electric range two months ago and are extremely pleased with features - double oven and multiple cooktop heating options. We are very disappointed however with the ability to clean the cooktop. We spend more time cleaning it than cooking on it and still can't get it clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Double Oven !!!

Double ovens are a plus !!! Each oven maintains independent temperatures when both are in use. Convection feature bakes evenly.

Enjoy using the oven

Have enjoyed using this stove and range. There are 2 concerns I have:
1. the stove top has to be cleaned all the time to keep it clean
2. don't know for sure if the top stove is heating to desired temperature. It takes longer to cook items in new stove than my previous stove at same temperature setting.
