Super economical

We have had this GE double oven oven for 2 weeks and we absolutely love it. We had previously owned this same style oven and couldn’t dream of having any other style. The smaller top oven is a must for our family. It preheats quickly(5-6 minutes depending on desired temperature) and cooks/bakes to perfection. No heat adjustments have been necessary thus far. I am not too familiar with use of the convection oven which is only located in the bottom oven, not the top. The stovetop is functioning very well and is actually the component of the stove that I use the most, daily in fact. The heating elements seem to all be working properly and as a bonus I now have an 11” heating element which accommodates my largest skillet which is 12”(previously I only had 8-9” heating element as my biggest option).
Pros: upper oven preheats quickly which leads to shorter use time overall and less electricity use than your average sized oven(I’m assuming!).
Can use both ovens at the same time if preparing a large meal requiring many dishes at different temperatures.
Convection oven option in the lower average sized oven which is supposed to bake/cook more evenly by distributing the hot air in a more balanced manner by utilizing a fan to move the hot air around.
The black stainless steel is sleek and looks great with our other appliances with the same finish. Matches very well even though different manufacturers. Love this!
Heating elements on the electric glass cook top are good sizes. Bonus 11” heating element. Others are 8.5”, 9”, 6”x(3), and one 6.5” warming zone. Two of heating elements are double which is fantastic.

Cons: glass top scratches easily; already have a few spots that seem to have bubbled on the top after recommended use of stainless sauce pan.
Sadly we discovered that manufacturers do not recommend use of some of my favorite stovetop cookware including enameled or painted bottom pans, stoneware, and cast iron pans as they can create scratches on the glass top.
Unfamiliar with how to use convection so not sure how often I’ll use, but will give it a try I’m sure.
Glass top difficult to keep spot free. Have to stay on top of it and use appropriate cleaning methods to keep it looking new. Food easily burns onto heating elements and can be very difficult to remove. A pain, but so far worth the effort to maintain shiny brand new looking stovetop!

In summary, I am thrilled to have another double oven and it will be my preference for as long as I’m doing the cooking! Less time in the kitchen, more time doing things that matter, like spending time with family and friends. :)

I love the small top oven. I use it all the time. When setting the clock when having an elec. the outage, I find it need to go back to the paperwork. I do wish it had a button to set it with.
