Looked great buy already melting

I love the look of this gas range however, the first time I used it the plastic part (by the control knobs) already melted. VERY disappointed. I expected much more from a GE at this price point. ESPECIALLY for a GAS RANGE that is made for cooking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife bought me this new range as a gift to replace an older gas range. The performance has been fantastic and I'm pleased with the strength and flexibility of the burners as well as the even baking in the oven.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am so very disappointed in this range! it is no where near the quality of previous ge appliances! I am hard of hearing and I can barely hear the timer setting go off--unless I am standing right at the stove! as for the drawer, it is so flimsy I am positive that will be the first thing to break on this stove. oh. ladies, if you have long nails, forget about even using the tiny "well" for opening the drawer! I did discover, though, I could grasp the outter sides of the drawer and open that way. and why didn't this range come with a broiler pan? every other range I ever purchased always came with that along with a rack. not happy here. may return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
