This unit replaced our old GE Profile that ha seen better days. This new model is nice because it has a fifth burner. However, it would have been nice if it came with a custom griddle, instead of a grate. Also the drip pan is integrated into the top and is not removable, making clean up somewhat more difficult. The door showed some poor fit and finish in that there is a rubber bumper that is supposed to fit between the door frame and the door liner on each side. On one side, it had been mashed in incorrectly. Another problem is that the unit shipped with the leveling feet fully extended, resulting in the unit sitting higher than the countertop. Screwing them all the way back in is problematic because the screw shaft is made of plastic and is impossible to turn by hand. I had to use channel lock pliers and make quarter turn upon quarter turn for each foot, and it took a long time. Finally the paperwork was taped to the outside of the unit with the tape adhering to the paper. It was a mess. Dear GE, it's the little things that matter as much as the big stuff. You need to up your quality control.

Buyer beware this thing is a cheap cheap cheap piece of crap made in China. Not even two months old and having Service done.

Very disappointed

I’ve had this oven for a little over a year and I was happy with it until I used the self clean feature. My oven became very smokey which filled the entire kitchen and smelled like wood burning. And after the self clean was finished my internal oven shelf won’t slide in or out. I punched an extended warranty and I’ll be calling the store tomorrow to answer my questions about this problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you find that your oven racks are difficult to slide in and out after a self-clean cycle:
1. Put a small amount of vegetable oil on a soft cloth or paper towel
2. Rub onto the left and right edge of the racks, ensuring they are lightly coated.

Very good product. Easy to use. I like the full grate on the stove top. The bottom drawer is light weight, which is typical on stoves these days, but has plenty of room. If you are installing it yourself, make sure the cook top is higher than the adjoining counter top because if it isn't the flame could burn the counter when using a wide skillet on the large burner.

Light Blub Keeps blowing out

Oven works ok light bulb blow out right away sent me blubs blow out again dent tech said ok sent socket and blub blow out again will have to call again. The GE it replaced got 2003 maybe replaced the blub once in 12 years.
