I was unaware that the right rear burner would be the second high heat burner.
I would have liked the two front burners to be the higher heat.
I find that the handles of all my pans get very hot compared to my last stove.
Over all it does cook fast and sometimes i think the oven temp is higher than the temp i have put it at. I guess any new appliance takes time.
I was not aware that i had to push the button for the oven light , i would think it would automatically come on when the oven door is open.
Even though i really miss my old stove i do like this one and hope that in time i will love this new GE appliance.

Mixture of good features & disappointments

There are many things I love about this range, especially the edge to edge burner tops and the cast iron grill top, the rapidity with which water boils on the power burner, and the ease of cleaning the stove top. But two things are very disappointing. First, the burner controls are not nuanced - to get the flame significantly changed I have to turn the burners almost to the lowest setting. The installer warned me this would be the case and to not bother complaining. Why have 10 settings on a burner control if there are really only 2 or 3 flame settings? I expected more from a gas appliance in this price range. Secondly, there is a screw inside the oven that rubs against the rack in the middle setting, making it difficult to pull the rack out to put something in/take something out of the oven. This strikes me as an error in design. As a result, I avoid using the middle rack setting unless a recipe absolutely requires it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had this stove for almost 2 months now and so far so good. I like the timer button for the oven and the light to see what your baking, beats having to open the oven to see your food. Roomy too, even with 4 pans on it and a griddle pan in the middle.

This is our first brand new range, but we've lived through many apartment (rental) ranges. This thing is neat and clean and the controls seem to be easy to use. I might even try the timer! The burners have a wide range of heat (the "lo" is very low) and are very quiet.
The one aspect we don't like is the storage drawer which is flimsy and feels cheap. When fully extended it bends to the floor and gets stuck in the open position. It takes the shine off a very nice piece of equipment.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful, heavy duty stove and oven

5 burners are excellent. This came with grates and I purchased a griddle/grill. What an excellent new way to cook. There is an oven light switch, clock, broiler, pan drawer, preheat, everything that is needed for perfect meals. Thank you BE, I also have your washer machine with agitator which is a great appliance that looks good and cleans easily.

Choose stainless finish

Range works very well love the full top grates. Gary slate top is very hard to keep clean. Oven racks are a little flimsy. Does a nice job of baking. I think I would have been happier going with the stainless steel finish.
