So this phone definitely has features that provide the wow factor. The camera on this thing is short of amazing. I like all the new features such as the live streaming and the upgraded functionality. On the down side, sometimes when I am on speaker phone people cannot hear me and tell me that my sound is going in and out. The other negative would be that I can't get my contacts to stop duplicating and I have had to go in several times to link the duplicates and they just keep coming back.
Pros: the camera
Cons: Not high def
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as good as galaxy s4

I am disappointed that I lost features by upgrading. Here's what I lost: S4 had internet access while on a call. Note 5 only has internet access when there's wifi. S4 had a customizable alarm snooze. Note 5 is defaulted to 5 minutes and it can't be changed S4 had voice alarm snooze. Note 5 does not. S4 worked well with Waze gps. Note 5 has trouble finding my location. I also notice that Internet access overall is less reliable than my S4. S4 removable battery, Note 5, none S4 had SD slot, Note 5, none.
Today I ask, why did I upgrade? What good is a bigger screen if if all it's showing is that it has no service.
Pros: Bright display, bigger screen
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no internet while on call, spotty internet access
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A big step backward

I had the note 4 for about a year untill it was stolen from me. The only replacement i could get was the note 5 becuase they discontinued the 4. I thought i was getting an upgrade, but i was disappointed to learn i was getting a downgrade. The note 5 offers no advantages over the 4. In fact it proved to only remove features i have grown to love. There is no more inferred blaster so it can no longer function as a remote for a tv. The back is sealed shut so there is no removable battery and there is NO SD CARD SLOT. The lack of a memory slot is probably the biggest disappointment. Aditional memory is one of the main reasosns anyone gets an android but for some reason its been removed. It seems as though the note 5 is just an iphone with samsung parts and an S pen. If I wanted an iphone i would have gotten an iphone. Even the bottom bumper is a complete copy of the iphone. I seriously hope samsung gets their head back in the game for the note 6. That being said, what the note 5 does do it does well. It is still a good peice of tech, just not what i personally thought an upgrade would look like.
Pros: Bright display, Built-in speakers, s pen functionality, large screen
Cons: no removable battery, no sd card slot, removal of ir blaster
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'll start my review by saying that I'm a little biased when it come to Samsung products, because of past experiences I tend to buy most of my electronics from the Samsung brand, I am very pleased with the Note 5 it is like having a small tablet, It's big enough to watch movies on and So far the phone features are very good, The only two things that are somewhat of a draw back for me is there is no slot for a memory card and I purchased the 32gig, Which is an easy fix :Download pictures, and files not needed on the phone to a computer, The phone does come in a 64 gig. Secondly the phone comes sealed which means you can't just pop the back off to access the battery; too the best of my knowledge, But so far my phone holds a charge for about 24 hrs with medium to heavy use. Overall in my opinion this is an excellent phone, Samsung will have to do some pretty amazing things with the Note 6 if there ever is one.
This phone is slow. I hate that there is no sd card. its heavy. Glass brakes too easy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super fast processor, excellent camera, video,so comfortable to hold and just can't find a negative thing about this phone. The deal breaker for me is the S Pen I also really liked the Galaxy Edge + but I'm a huge fan of the S Pen previously had iPhone 4s then traded in for Galaxy Note 3 and got hooked on pen.
I finally upgraded from an Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to a 5....and I preferred still today the Note 3. First, the phone is slightly smaller so you will have to buy another case. No one asked to change that. The speaker has changed from the top to the bottom so if your listening to music and texting your on the speaker. No one asked to change that. The earphone moved from top to bottom no my card really gets in the way. No one asked them to change that. There's no media card any more your now on the phone storage 32g for sure so hope you can remember your google password. My Note 3 memory card 128g the phone storage 32g Now you will feel like your one of the iPhone people limited to the "cloud" a way from somone to make money not you. No one asked them to change that. And the altimate dislike is LTE they want you to be happy with the speed you can't do 2 things at 1 time anymore. I use to be talking on the phone and needed to google somthing bam done not anymore. I use to receive picture mail while talking on the phone not anymore you have to tell someone you will have to call them back after you view the picture just to finish the conversation. Wow! Again, NO ONE ASKED THEM TO CHANGE THAT. I have an upgrade that feels like a down grade. Thanks Samsung. ♡ Waiting on the new corrections on my future Note 6.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wish I could find something to complain about...

I absolutely love my Galaxy Note 5. I have had many phones from iPhone, Droid etc and have had many complaints. But I am in love with my note 5. I am a social media nut; my phone stays plugged into EVERYTHING and my alerts go off like wind chimes... from my twitter, to pinterest, instagram, Google+, My YouTube channel; in addition to my YouTube alerts for those I follow, Sound Cloud, Milk Music... I stay plugged in to my files across all platorms via the could and am always working on great project that Ineed to access on the go (MY PHONE)....
THIS PHONE handles all of my high-octane connectivity and handles it well. It's also loaded with a smorgasbord features/apps. I belieave I saw a review where they mentioned the phone speaker wasn't all that great. WRONG! It's loud AND clear.
Now, for what I love the most... it has the best camera on the market. Hands down... Which is really what was the initial deciding factor for me purchasing the phone... Samsung is King!!!
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, camera, feature rich, performance, multitasking, mutiple ways to achieve a task, you have full control over your device
